One of the most gorgeous, most fun places I have visited goes to Slovenia.
Here I will be splitting this glorious trip into three cities: Ljubljana, Koper, and Piran. Each is unique, and each deserves its own section for what it offers!
Koper
This is the first city I had the pleasure of staying in. First thing I did was jump on a long and absolutely breathtaking train here. I came from Croatia (another article to come), so this ride was everything and more: crystal blue water lakes, high peaks, and valleys with bursts of color at every corner, little villages spread out with the cutest little farmhouses you ever did see.
This city is so different, but definitely a gem. It has touches of the Italian architecture, with the coastal vibes of Greece. A part of the aspect of enjoying Koper has to do with the solitude. It's so peaceful. My hostel was located in the middle of the village, where shops and gelato lined the alleyways at every turn (Hostel Histeria is the name of the hostel). It only took a 5-minute walk to get to the ocean. Like I said, there was a lot of beauty in walking through the village.
The ocean was a daily stop for sure, whether it was to actually swim in or watch the beautiful sunset, it was breathtaking. It is a rock beach, with no sand. It sounds kinda... not fun, right? Well, guess what, just throw some Chacos on and you. are. good. The water is so transparent and just gosh darn pretty. At night, on the coastline, they have performances taking place! So you can get a scoop of gelato and watch the sunset as (in our case) the Mariachi band plays! Sounds freaking picturesque doesn't it? Well, yea... you betcha it is. Also, I got sooooo many "Monte Carlo," vibes in this city. So, if I can go somewhere that makes me feel like I'm Selena Gomez or Leighton Meester than WHAT ELSE IS BETTER THAN THAT. All I needed was that Australian man to find me... still waiting...
Piran
I can't push for a visit to this city enough. This place is paradise!!!!!! Man, it is so so gorgeous. The city is lined with these pastel buildings that build higher and higher and, if you climb to the top, it will lead you to a beautiful view of the whole village and some gleaming water. (example below) This rocky coast on the Adriatic Sea still captures the Italian feel due to the extremely high amount of use of the language.
It's a dream, guys. The first thing I saw walking out of the bus, was a dock filled with cute little sailboats and sooo many shops. It's not easy to tell why I was loving it. Shopping, and a beach; that's all it takes folks. Half the day was spent shopping, while the other half was spent swimming/ sitting by the sea with friends and a pina colada in hand. In this little restaurant located right on the shore, people are lined with a view and beautiful weather while they enjoy their food and the tropical cocktails. I legit want to go here for my honeymoon!!
Ljubljana
Oh, Ljubljana... what a dynamic city you are. Ok, now don't kill me here. I don't have pictures. I left my camera at the hostel. I know, I know, my blogger card should be revoked, but just stick with me for the sake of it. I had to at least bring up this city for this article because I find it truly worth the visit. I was only in this city for a few hours, but within that time, I did as much as I could!! The first thing I was able to do was to go to this restaurant that provided me the best view!! The restaurant, called Makalonca, is essentially seen with a small door opening with a staircase that leads below the bridge to the water. The entire restaurant is level with the water, and I was able to eat my meal with a gorgeous view of the city above me.

Well, that's all I have ladies and gentleman. Thank you for taking the time to read this article and enlightening me. I love this process and blogging is such a cool development for me, so your support is truly a blessing. I can't wait to make blogging a greater priority for the next time I travel, unlike this trip from last summer.
I would love it if you would follow me on instagram!
Also if you want to watch my Europe vlog on youtube, I would love it!
xoxo, Carly
