#75 Paris, France

Bonjour! It's me, back from Paris!

Goodness. Let me just say this blog post is a challenge. It's hard to break down such an incredible trip through such a beautiful place that truly stole a piece of my heart.

I want to do it justice, and I am hoping that my pictures can at least give a glimpse of the Parisian vibes. It's the french music playing at every petite and picturesque cafe around every corner, ya know? There's something to be said about the feeling you get when you are walking down the streets between elegant and detailed buildings. The food is to friggin die for, (carbs and all) and the fashion is by far my favorite to observe in Paris. Seriously y'all, who needs Pinterest when the inspiration is found in each person walking the streets: it's effortless, it's chic, and it's iconic. Now, where there is the fashion you know there is shopping, and where there is shopping, I am there. So basically the trip was full of me shopping everywhere, eating, and throwing in a few tourist attractions to top it off... COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER. Listen, if your not already convinced I don't know what will do it for ya. Paris is where it's at and it's time you pack your bags and go.

I think I'll take a simple approach with this post and just give some of my favorite places and things I did with the pictures. I tried to narrow all my pictures down... so here we go my frands.

Moulin Rouge

Our hotel was right next to Moulin Rouge so we visited it several times, including during the night time when it was lit up. It was definitely pretty and worth it. I desperately wished we could have actually gone to a show, but sometimes we are cheap, meaning we weren't willing to fork up the money for tickets (hehe).

I-CON-IC.
Arc de Triomphe

This was the view from the top of the arc. We got there first thing in the morning and bought our tickets ahead of time. This way, we were able to have little crowds with no line. The view was worth it, but the elevators are out of order right now so be prepared for one intense stair master workout.

Eiffel Tower
Like, how can you not? And might I add, who doesn't want to pretend to be Selena Gomez treading the stairwell downwards to get to their tour bus on time? (If you can't tell yet I'm obsessed with movies. Is it obvious? If it isn't you have probably not been reading, alright.)

This is the side opposite where the long park runs from the tower. If you walk backward from here you will find another park with a gigantic fountain you can swim in. YES, IT IS LEGAL (my mind was blown; I hope yours is too). It has views of the Eiffel tower as well, so obviously, we ate lunch there one afternoon and it was the bomb.

Here is the fountain, people. It's real, it's big, and it's a dream.

This is at the popular park on the opposite side right before sunset. We stayed for the first lighting of the tower (9PM in case you were wondering) and it was everything I dreamt it would be. There is a reason it's popular: you can't see anything like it anywhere else. There is legitimately a warm and magical feeling to it.

This is one picture that I know I didn't come close to capturing. Just know it looks a million times cooler than this in person.

The darned prettiest street view.
Yup, you can bet I was looking for Riley right there when we got in the Eiffel Tower (If you know, you know).

The Lourve
We went here on my birthday. That is right; I spent my birthday in Paris, and it was freaking fantabulous. We started off touring the literal Lourve Museum and made our way through the park and of course the iconic mall that is found within the museum. I ain't gonna lie, might have overspent a little bit and bought a bottle of Chanel but what's better than Chanel and Paris? NOTHING I tell you.

TIP: I would suggest going into this experience having in mind the types of art you would like to see. For me, I preferred viewing paintings rather than sculptures which made it very easy to figure out a plan to get through the museum. If you want to go through the entire thing, by all the means go for it, just be prepared to walk... a lot. It's big, man.

PHOTOGRAPHY TIP: I also want to note that getting pictures you truly may want takes a lot of patience. I know everyone might know this, but it is so crowded and half the battle is getting to a point where the picture is clear of others. I encourage you to not give up on the picture that you want because it will clear up at one point. The earlier you get to your destination, the better... and this goes for every place in Paris; it always helps your case.

Behold, I give you the line I waited in 45 minutes. I repeat FOURTY FIVE MINUTES and I think it was 3 massive elevators later for about a minute to stand in front of the Mona Lisa. The picture below shows the people who got to be in front of and closest to the painting. When I got there I was shoved in the back of my group and then by the time everyone moved the guard told me to leave. It was just great. On the bright side, I did see the Mona Lisa and it was pretty darn cool.

It is a wild thing to watch a line of hundreds and hundreds of people sift through several lines and wait almost an hour just to see this small painting.

Am I close?

Teiluries Park
The park that is found right outside of the museum is big, gorgeous, and there happened to be a wedding reception of some sort happening when we were there; it was so picturesque, I wanted to cry. It was totally like I was living out a movie and I wish I could relive that feeling over and over again.

Street, Foods, Wines, Views

Seriously, this was the best birthday brunch ever with the cutest owner. For such a tiny portioned simple fruit salad, it was the best I have ever had.

Fun story... left my phone on a metro bus forever just hours before this pic. Makes a little more sense why I look like this, doesn't it?

Oh my goodness we got upgraded for free and had the cutest little room at our hotel with a small balcony. It was in the 9th Arrisondment which made for a great area to roam. It was all extremely cute, but truthfully all of Paris is extremely cute.

This is the view from the second floor of Galleries Lafayette. This famous and absolutely gorgeous department store is filled with 8 floors of every upscale brand store you could imagine. It was my dream! See if you can spot me in this picture. (Hint: Second-floor middle section to the right. That's me!)

Yves Saint Laurent Museum
By far this was my favorite museum/activity we did. Granted, if you don't like or care about fashion or Yves Saint Laurent maybe don't go here. For me, it was such a cool experience. I would recommend this museum for anyone who enjoys learning about fashion. It is not crowded or expensive. It takes you through what used to be where Yves Saint Laurent himself created and designed new pieces and launched new lines with shows and exhibits. My favorite part was getting to see his office left exactly how he had used it. It was so bright, and I could feel the creativity in the room. It screams designer, and on an interior designing level, there was lots of inspiration for me.

That just about wraps up everything I have. I tried to stop myself from discussing irrelevant information, but I can only contain myself so much. Paris is amazing, and I hope that came across. You know something: I dreamt of going to Paris since I was a kid, and I even made my entire room Paris themed. I just say this because it was really surreal to be there after so much dreaming and planning. Despite all the little things that could have happened during the trip, I really can't recall many of them because the trip as a whole was more than I could've hoped for. (BIG THANKS TO MOMMA FOR MEETING ME THERE ON A WHIM)
